24-Hour Support
Counselors staff our 24-hour Hotline and are also available to meet with survivors, their family and friends. They provide crisis counseling, emotional support, information and referrals. Male counselors are available for male survivors, their family, and friends. All services are available in English and Spanish.

Medical Advocacy & Accompaniment
SBRCC Advocates inform survivors of their medical options regarding treatment, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS and follow-up care. They can accompany survivors to medical exams and offer support.

Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
For survivors who choose to report to law enforcement, a specially trained team of female nurses, SBRCC counselors and law enforcement, working together ensures a sensitive, supportive medical/legal exam.

Legal Advocacy & Accompaniment
SBRCC advocates provide support, accompaniment referrals and information about reporting options and the criminal and civil justice systems.

Counseling
Individual, couple, group counseling and support groups are available. Counseling addresses the assault as well as long-term problems like substance abuse, suicide, eating disorders and depression.

Community Education
Presentations in English and Spanish are available to community organizations, business, civic groups, churches and synagogues, schools and colleges. Groups may request presentations on sexual violence awareness and prevention, sexual harassment, or self-defense.

Consultation
SBRCC provides consultation for community therapists regarding counseling/client issues, and provides program assessment to other agencies.

Training
SBRCC offers specialized training to law enforcement agencies, medical personnel, educators, counselors and social service providers.

Self-Defense Classes for Women
Led by certified, female self-defense instructors, classes provide safety, awareness, assertiveness and physical self-defense techniques. Taught in English and Spanish, classes are available to women of all abilities. In addition, we offer courses to business and corporations for their employees.
